BDIS 2.1 Installation

The Budget Development and Information System (BDIS) is used to generate the State's operating budget.  BDIS is a PC application that uses TCP/IP to store budget information on a secure Oracle server located at the Delaware Office of Information Services.  The system is available to users within the State's Wide Area Network (WAN).  If you are not within the State's firewall, contact Charles Wilmire at 302-739-4206 or Email (cwilmire@state.de.us).

The following installation text is broken into two sections. The first section will walk through the installation of the Oracle drivers. The second section will walk through the installation of BDIS.  You may need to modify the instructions to allow for variations in your network environment.

BDIS Version 2.1 CD

The BDIS and Oracle software are available on a compact disk from the Office of the Budget.  Contact Elaine McDaniel (744-1153) or email  (emcdaniel@state.de.us) if your agency did not receive the distribution memo and CD in May 2001.
